Building Biology Guidance Levels for Sleep Areas - Baubiologische Richtwerte für Schlafbereiche http://www.baubiologie.de/downloads/english/standard_2008_englisch.pdf http://www.baubiologie.de/downloads/english/richtwerte_2008_englisch.pdf Comment: German Building biology guidance levels, for bedrooms less than 1 µW/m². Based on 10.000 home measurements.
Powerwatch (2010) International Guidance Levels - A Comparison http://www.powerwatch.org.uk/gen/intguidance.asp Comment: Various precautionary levels are compared with ICNIRP guidance levels.
ICNIRP - International Commission of Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection - Guidelines for Limiting Exposure to Time-Varying Electric, Magnetic, and Electromagnetic Fields (up to 300 GHz) http://www.icnirp.de/documents/emfgdl.pdf Comment: The ICNIRP guidelines are last time updated in 1998. For 1800 MHz GSM the guidance level is 9.000.000 µW/m² (=58 V/m), averaged over 6 minute exposure. These guidelines protect only from acute thermal effects.
Bio Initiative (2007) A Rationale for a Biologically-based Public Exposure Standard for Electromagnetic Fields (ELF and RF). http://www.bioinitiative.org/report/index.htm http://www.ntia.doc.gov/broadbandgrants/comments/71B9.pdf Comment: : Based on a review of biological effects. Focuses on chronic, 24/7 exposure. Recommends 100 µW/m² indoors and 1000 µW/m² (=0,6 V/m) outdoors, lately endorsed by the European Parliament and adopted in several cities in France. Additionally, please, take a look at the ICEMS Monograph - "Non-Thermal Effects and Mechanisms of Interaction Between Electromagnetic Fields and Living Matter": http://www.icems.eu/papers.htm?f=/c/a/2009/12/15/MNHJ1B49KH.DTL
Salzburg (2000) Salzburg Resolution on Mobile Telecommunication Base Stations. Salzburg Land. http://www.salzburg.gv.at/salzburg_resolution_e.htm http://www.salzburg.gv.at/abschlussbericht_gsm_endversion.pdf Comment: Salzburg State in Austria and recommendation levels, 1 µW/m² indoors and 10 µW/m² outdoors.
